FHO Scheduler is a free web-based scheduling tool from Dr. Plus for Ontario Family Health Organization (FHO) leads and administrators. It is designed for the operational work of organizing after-hours coverage across weekday evenings, weekends, holidays, physician absences, exemptions, and locum coverage.
Instead of maintaining a group schedule manually, FHO Scheduler brings recurring coverage requirements, physician availability, workload share, schedule generation, review, finalization, and later amendments into one organized workflow.

Link a locum to the FHO member they are covering and define the coverage dates. During that period, FHO Scheduler can use the covered member's scheduling patterns, rotation eligibility, and workload share when preparing assignments.
Outside the defined coverage period, the locum is not scheduled for that member's group obligations.

The application tracks requirements against the schedule you build and surfaces gaps, conflicts, and ambiguous cases for review rather than silently guessing.
- Weekday evening coverage is tracked separately from weekend coverage.
- Friday evening is handled as part of the weekend scheduling framework rather than as a Monday–Thursday evening.
- Weekend and holiday coverage are tracked as distinct scheduling categories.
- Member exemptions and effective dates can be recorded where applicable.

Finalized weeks are locked from routine editing so a published schedule is not changed accidentally. When a change is required, the week can be amended, adjusted, and finalized again.
